Jean,
It sounds like Mike is going to have to connect to your PC and help you out.  I'll again forward this to him; his notification systems are giving him some fits lately so he asked me to make sure I kept sending him anything that he has not responded to ...So this is one I'll forward to him...

I vound what is msvcrt10.dll

Error using Photoshop 6.0 filters with CS3

After installing Photoshop CS3 I copied my old filter files from my installation of Photshop 6.0 to Photoshop CS3, ( Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS3Plug-InsFiltersAdded Filters),The next time I opened Photpshop CS3 the program would not run. I got an error message that said the file Msvcrt10.dll could not be found.

I did a search for the file and found it in c:program filesadobePhotoshop 6.0. After I copied this file to the install directory for CS3 everything works fine now. Here is a copy of the file if you need to do the same thing:

Download Msvsrt10.dll

Wow, Jean.  Good sleuthing!  Congratulations on finding the problem, and on documenting the solution so well!

Mike,
This would relate to Access control during install as well.  PS protects the install directories as you remember...we had this issue with some of the other parts of the install..

Jean,
I misunderstood, sorry.  I will set up the "remote control" software and let you know how to connect.

Jean Pierre,  I have sent you a separate email with directions on how to set up a support session on your system.  Please let me know if you have not yet received the email.

Hi,

I'm posting in this thread because it pretty much describes my problem.

I'm using XP SP3, 32 bit. I just installed Photoshop CS5 32-bit and Curvemeister crashes it in spectacular fashion.

First I downloaded 3-3.2.0 and when I tried to install it, I was surprised to discover that there was no checkbox for CS5. (CS5 is six months old now.)

So I checked 'Other' and browsed to the plugin directory, which seemed to work. When I tried to invoke it, however, I got part way through the opening dialog (it defaults to using the wizard) and then--boom!

I uninstalled, reverted to 3-3.0.19, same result. I found this thread, which I realize is a few months old, but I see no resolution other than Mike Russell needs to take remote charge of my computer. Is there a better solution by now? Does Curvemeister support 32-bit CS5 yet?

I find this frustrating because I use (and love) the Curvemeister a lot.
