I agonised over this. Its such a beautiful photo. In the end I think I did ok. I like that I have inceased the contrast and I seem to have got a glow that I like. Not sure how. I dont know how joann got the net so red. I congratulate her!

ps I did try to get rid of some noise but it ended being a fine balancing.

Very nice,less is more.I tried to profile every tree on every ridgeline.GregM

I did a version of this image using your screenshot as a guide.Before,I had dealt with the mist in the bottom 2/3rds of the image by trying to eliminate it.There's also the problem with noise when you add color to the land masses.I've always liked this image,but my attempts wound up too green.GregM

Nicely done.  The noise reduction makes this a much nicer version.  You might even want to add more color if you choose.  Fog is tough. The subjectivity of this image give you tons of room to do what you want...
