Deb,
where did you set the shadow? 
The reason I ask is it seems like the contrast is low...

If you set the shadow as a point rather than using the threshold, you might want to move the shadow point around a bit and see if there is more detail.  I would repeat the same for the highlight point.

If you used the thresholding by moving the edge of the CM window.  You may not hqave gone far enough.

I don't remember exactly, but I think I used the threshold. I'll play with it a bit more and see if I can get an improvement.

It also does not have that flat spot in the flower shadow...
