Worked in LAB adjusted thresholds, added lizard tail, boosted saturation.  I wasn't satisfied with result so tried RGB, wCMYK to see if I could improve...didn't like results in either space.  Decided to go back into LAB and add an S curve to add more contrast without shifting colors.

Good choice...

You did a fine job getting the droplets to show the flower detail.  The tone is fine overall since it is a subjective color for the flower anyway.  The dark shadows add drama and contrast tot he specular highlights in the drops.
