I set end points with threshold in Lab. Used multiple neutrals in RGB. Used CS3's shadow/highlight on the L to lighten shadow area. Rotate the a/b curves and finally sharpen the image.

You've done very well at removing the blue color cast,and bringing out tremendous amounts of detail and color.  Good job.  The final result is a little on the contrasty side, so perhaps blending this with the original image might give an image that is easier to look at.

That's a very useful suggestion. I remember in Dan Margulis' book, he sometimes advise people to use additional layers and then reduce the opacity to taste. Thank you very much, Mike. :D
