I would be most grateful if the adminstrators of Curvemeister to include in the next exercise to teach us when and how to use the wgCMYK curves and the GCR settings ::) what are the advantages, etc.?

Also, would someone please tell me whether it is necessary to set the shadow & highlight points on neutral objects only?

Finally, how to remove a cast using Curvemeister?

Thank you!

Sorry for the long delay in getting you an answer.
We have had our July 4th holiday fall into the middle of the week and I was on a short holiday.

CMYK is really best suited for print and reproduction images.  It corresponds to ink values and is very simular to RGB in how it is applied.  The advantage is that the K channel (black) is separate from the color channels.

Please read the following articles regarding color spaces and choices...

Regarding the neutrals question: It is always better, but not necessary, to have neutral colors under the highlight and shadow.  You are really setting the lightness value and this should be independent of color but sometimes a cast can be introduced.
