Opened the image in Photoshop CS3 and converted it to the sRGB color space.
Imported it into Curvemeister in LAB mode and set the Shadow and Highlight points. The Shadow point was a bit tricky since I was required to ignore the background shadows which were evident by the spike in the left side tale of the Lightness histogram. So the actual Shadow point was set in the center of the flower, which cut of the tail of the histogram. I then laid down the Highlight point, switched to All Tabs view and steepened the A & B channel curves to 1.60. Compared it with the RGB version which ahd a severe color cast so I decided to stay with the LAB version.
