I increased the shadows using thresholds, boosted the contrast in the highlights, increased saturation, and corrected the color in the shadow as was suggested in the assignment by moving the dark end of the blue curve.

Waa Hoo...good job...about the only thing I would change is the sky...
having been there i know it's brighter...but you know what, you got the tough parts.
