Hello again
After several false starts I finally began to get on top of colouring this one when I began by setting the floor to neutral.
This was the starting point.
I noticed that the statues were still not red and so deleted the neutral pin and nudged the curve zero crossing point to make the statues as red as possible.
The main adjustment was the b channel.
This adjustment also improved the detail on the top of the statues.
The final stage was finalising the L channel.
I had determined that I needed to set the crossover in the b channel to -13/0. My hand seemed to slip as I ended up with -14/-1. Near enough I thought.

I'm sending a 100% view as well as the normal screenshot.

Regards

Hey Roo...

Don't be fooled the floor is not grey.  It's actually quite blue...the real problem here is tha there is no real neutral to hit...you need to make the dogs look good with full highlights and details.  They should look quite well textured and almost wet in color when you are done.

Let me know if you have more questions...

I had another go at it.
I supose that originally I noticed that the top surfaces and some points were slightly blue or had less yellow than those areas in shadow. Also the floor was also blue but not as blue as the shadow behind the legs. This led me to suspect that the blue was a lighting problem which I attempted to eliminate.

In the latest version the L channel is very similar to the earlier version.
The a and b channel sliders have been very aggressivly pushed towards the centre. and adjusted to give a rich red to the statues.

Flower pots can of course range from a powdered orange to a rich red colour.
