Went with Lab again for this one, for mainly the same reason as #3. The colors are just a bit crisper than in RGB. Lab works really well on these dark and flat images. Lord knows I have several of those!! :)

It looks like you are getting the basics down quite well, you held the highlight details and kept the color in the real realm...Lab is capable of some really wild unreal colors...Did you try the thresholding on these images??

Yes, definitely tried thresholding, especially on the image of the yellow flower. It worked really well!

I don't know what the deal is on flowers like this. I shoot Nikon digital and my images of yellow flowers always seem to turn out drab like this. Good thing they come back nicely with some post processing.

Well I did kind of tank this image for the class...

I started out with a pretty good image and made it look crappy for you to fix...
