I'm rushing through this as I know the class is ending!

Greg and Mike - no worries if you don't have time to add comments now.

Just want to say thanks once again - every time I watch a video there is some thing else to learn!

I've admired everyone's versions of this photo and have tried hard to get all the different aspects of this photo right.

Here is a screen shot of my work flow - as you can see I went in and out of various channels to try and bring out the rocks and greenery.  The last edit would normally use a luminosity mask to reveal 'shadow'; today I've used a clumsy mask which I've painted on.

Hopefully my last question in this part of the forum: are all the masks different versions of 'luminosity masking'?  I'm a big fan of these masks within photoshop and am trying to replicate them in the mask section of CM?  I fear I am leaping ahead of myself again, but if any one has time to enter into this discussion ....

The luminosity masks I am using: http://www.goodlight.us/writing/tutorials.html

I think I could return to the greenery and have another go.
