In a previous post I mentioned how I was having problems moving the horizontal line up and down the mask. I played with it more. One of the suggestions was to run the mouse up and down the side bar. I find that even though I have ctrl clicked on both ends of the flat curve the double curved arrow shows and the curve line wants to rotate. If I try to bring the line straight (down/up) I find my hand wavers a bit and the other side (spot) moves into the curve area. I have to keep pulling it back to the edge. But if I'm careful I eventually get it.

First click on one of the points, then continue the drag in the vertical margin.  If you start the drag in the margin, the curve control points will rotate.
