I had to cheat and used the video solutions straight away.

Then had a go by myself.  I think it is a tad dark.

Things I've learnt:
I had the curves set to the oppsite way - hence I the lower left curve wasn't working!

Things I'd like to know: my 'worms' are grey, how to I set them to represent their colours?

No problem with cheating, as long as you do the curves too.  In the next session I'll be providing video hints for some of the examples.

You'll probably have an easier time with the curves set so that black is on the left.  This is a personal preference, though.  If you every work with folks who work with CMYK press images, they will have black on the right.

As far as the gray worms, as far as I know there is no setting for this.  Sometimes the worms will look gray though for lighter colors.  Have you tried this on an image with vivid, dark colors?

I use the black on the Right...Just makes more sense to me...
Sometimes I have to re-think the curvese that are posted but otherwise it has served me well...
