Hey Greg,

I thought RGB was awful as well but please take another shot at it and just try to make the lake part reasonable...
It can be a bit flat as long as it's believeable.  Use as many control points as needed to keep the curve in control.

Try going very dark with this image - treat the sky as the main subject, with just a dark hint of lake and mountans.
