The note for attachments reads
"Maximum attachment size allowed: 200 KB, per post: 8"
  I take this to read 200 KB per post, max 8 posts for a total of 1600KB. But when I try to post more than a total of 500KB, the posting is rejected. ?? ???

That would be correct...

You can post up to 8 attachments but the total cannot exceed 500k.
Changes would be up to Mike...but it has been suffecient for most of the things we are doing...
