Most interesting, but probably not something one can do with many images.

I have a question - the idea of locking all 3 channels together is very useful - can I do it with any pinning?
And having got 3 pins, can I release one?

Oh BTW, I attempted to follow the instructions (for once!)

It really works best in RGB,  Lab will only look at one pin at a time.

You can remove any pin from the curve by dragging it off.

Many times I'll do the adjustment with the linked pins, find what I want to fix, and remove the linked pin in favor of a "mark" and manual adjustment to only the channels I want to adjust. The "Linked Neutral" is telling RGB to make that area a neutral.  If you use a color pin you can adjust the "mode" of the pin.  you just have to play around in there a bit...
