Set shadow then exited CM, entered again and made the adjustments as shown.

Gus,
Your image brings a very important lesson and part of the process to light for everyone...I'm not picking on you or anyone in particular just stating some things....

One of the things that tends to be forgotten at this point in the class is the SHN stuff from week 1.  We have applied it ..used it...and now we move forward ...But because we are trying to learn this weeks "stuff" we forget the basic things that got us this far.  I always start every image with the following...

Remember:



  • The

Shadow needs to be the darkest area that has meaning to the image. Not always the darkest part of the image
  • The Highlight need to be the brightest area that has meaning to the image. Not always the brightest part of the image.

  • The Neutral needs to be reasonable for the image and in many cases there is no neutral to work with.
