What happened to the color??  I guess Thailand has gone monochrome.....

Ha, ha.

Exactly.  I tried to remove the yellow both in rgb and Lab but there was always a residual blue or yellow.
The cast is so unsaturated that it lead me to think : "Dont care about it and use the Lightness channel."

ok...let's tackle it from a B&W perspective then....

can you find more detail in the upper right corner??  there is a temple in the upper right corner.
