After I lifted to sat curve  I found the magenta portion of the curve and flattened it a bit,then I raised the upper reaches of the curve for the orange color.After sharpening I lowered the overall brightness about eight clicks.The idea was to create a hard waxey surface that featured the water drops and surface scars

Here's the color file,seems harsh when I look at it now,especially pumpkin with largest stem.
