Lynda's Done Duck

This board is for the November 2008 CM101 class.

Thought I'd try posting the "Done Duck" I did.  I prefer LAB because the colors look more natural and I have more flexibility with the effect.

I split your image off from the main topic...

You can post each image into a new thread.  It actually helps us keep it all straight....

I'll look at the duck later but it looks pretty good so far...

More to come...And thanks for posting it...this is where we start to have fun.....

Lynda,
Your Duck is very nice...the neutral is well placed and you seem to have all the highlight and shadow details in the image....

Good work....

Now...This is where I gently push and you get to try it if you want to....I used your image to do the following...

Try this...using your image open the image in CM and use the saturation slider in LAB to push the colors around.  Some people are not fans of over saturated colors or worse yet just plain saturated colors....

Adjust the saturation slider in LAB until you make the color outlandish...then back it off until it is real but very saturated...play around a bit and see if you can brighten colors.
