Here is my try. Used K channel as mask but made corrections in Lab. Mask with light blur. Slight contrast pin on lake/forrest.

wow, nice looking...I think you are starting to get this figured out...

Did you try to open the near shadows at all??  just curious...

Thought about it but never tried. Somehow I liked the picture and colours. Kind of frame with the dark parts and eye focus on the most interesting part. But maybe I should have checked it better.

Yes I think I start to understand the mask feature in CM. Very nice and thanks for all good advice. And I now know hot to use blur mask:) Has been a big question mark before!

Nice job, Thomas. I agree about the dark frame of trees making the view so much more focused.
