Started in LAB, set shadow point then went RGB to get clocks as indicated the went back to LAB as per instructions and increased the contrast then adjusted the a & b curve.

seems like you may have gone too far with the color cast correction. Did you bring the mid tone part of the curve back to the center??

I thought it was too yellow to, but the lesson required the hands of both hue clocks to point to the Y on the clock so is there any alternative to having a yellow image, I guess maybe my one hue clock should have been a little more toward the red.

just try to shorten the arm a bit...the shorter the arm the less saturated the color cast
