Why was there some purple left over to remove in the last step??

The BTN correction should have gotten that out...Was it localized to some part of the image?? or a general cast??

Today I went back and redid image, onlyone step. The top one is the image I get when I apply and save as and is slightly different than the image as displayed.I prefer the blue Tee shirt of the bottom picture.

I downloaded the bluer Tee shirt image and there was a shift back to the magenta side of B on the hue clock?

are you saving a different profile than the default sRGB?
That could be messing with you.  The web display is always suspect as well.  I'll look at them later tonight and see if I can see anything on my setup.

To get some fill light to the face.First step was a background copy set to screen,opacity60% then this BTN.When I used a lizzard tail to lighten the side of the face somethingelse seemed to change in the image.

so let me get this straight...

Step 1 background copy, screen, set to 60% opacity, then CM on the same layer?  Is the background getting 40% of the way through your correction?? then copy and screen??

that might be where the color is coming from??

This was a variation on my usual workflow.I can see that if you don't lock the colors the opacity could perhaps do some filtering on its own.GregM
