Did a Highlight Shadow then used an S curve then used the slider in a & b to bring out more colour. Tried it in RGB but had trouble seeing alot of difference.

Gary,

Download the ACV file and apply it to your image as posted..  Use the compare button to look at both before and after images....
While you have the color and neutral the highlights are a bit over done. 
Ideally we want to be able to see the writing in the white areas of the image.  The little bump in the L curve does this quite nicely, then just up the saturation to make up for the loss from the adjustment.

I can see your curve makes it much easier to read the print, I was really trying to get the acrylic look but had problems doing it and still maintaining the printing.

The curve I posted will still allow you to add saturation to the image to get the colors to pop....
