Masking in CM is dark area, I guess we will learn soon how to handle that baby. I did masking in CS3, Color range is good tool plus refine edge.

Here is my first try. I used Curvemeister wizard as I am new in CM. Flattened the sea level and did a little cropping first.

Continued with adjustments of the sky in Curve with masking. As the picture does not look very sharp I sharpened it with highpass filter.

A slope to the saturation and an s curveto the brightness in HSB,then sharpening.I wanted four colors to the lighthouse and some detail to the sea.My first image was a portrait crop with the lghthse in upper left corner and the seagrasses lower right but I ran out of pixels so I applied the corrections to the entire image. Both look good.

I have the image as both Horz and Vert...I'll have to revisit the Vert and see if I like it....
Good job on the sky...

Same tools used as before but tried to be a bit more careful with gradient tool. Also increased saturation of lighthouse and some shadow/highlight correction. Still not satisfied with sky.

For a quick and dirty solution try the pin files...There is a pin in the "nature" tab called Glenco Sky...see screen shot
Drag the pin up to the sky and drag it around until you find a sky color you like.

If you are in LAB you might want to set a solid neutral first so the rest of the image does not get too messed up.
Let me know how that works out....

Rest of picture lost colour and got hue. How do I set a solid grey?
