First image (RGB)with multiple neutrals to see what was happening in different zones.Reading on left leg pulled down to about 220.
Second image(HSB),darkened shadows a bit the make pool reflective,slope rather than curve in saturatuion channel for tigers colors and a bit of sharpening to eyes and muzzle.GregM
By image I actually mean pass,bottom image is further adjustment of tiger neg.

I think this is a really great job, I don't suppose you took a screen shot of your curves?  I can't seem to get any where close with mine.

Curves below,just make sure you're in the appropriate color space before you open the file.GregM
