Did you consider the white chalk for a neutral as well...your choice is fine..I am mostly curious...

No, I didn't, because due to the heavy cast I didn't even notice that it was supposed to be white!

I also played a bit. Black, white and neutral were set in CM lab mode. Neutral on whitre chalk.  Increased saturation. Back to PSE and made a new layer and used multiply opacity 68%.
