Really tough to control the cyan fur in this picture.  I tried to kill it off in RGB. Then when I went back into Lab to saturate I found it again, albeit at a much lower level.  Thus I spent some time tweaking the curves in Lab trying to get my Hue clocks to point to neutral or slightly warm.  Back into Lab again to saturate, and I lifted the mask a bit to light up the eyes on the upper lemur a bit more than is probably natural.

Brian,
Overall I think they are too yellow.  
The lab values I was seeing are too far into the +B range in areas that should be a bit more neutral. try shopping a neutral around and see if the overall tone improves with a new neutral choice...

First image is your posted one second is with a new neutral choice...not perfect but better...
