During this class I will be willing to do at least 1 interactive session using Skype for voice and a screen sharing program called "Show My PC"
http://showmypc.com/

I am looking for feedback as to how many would be interested, how willing people are to use Skype and, topics you are interested in seeing more information about.

Because we have people from all over the world we would need to schedule the session(s) pretty tightly and some coordination of connections to Skype for the conference call need to be arranged before we actually attempt this.

My current thoughts about this are:

1) Verify interest.
2) Ask people to download, install and configure Skype or another program capable of using the skype system to do the voice part of the session.
3) Schedule 1st session at least a week ahead of time for a Saturday.
4) Sessions would be about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on interest and topics to cover.
5) Topics would need to be addressed before hand so we can focus on what you all want to see.

I am also thinking of offering single sessions to single users for specific trouble shooting and technique walk through as needed.

I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on this.
Greg

P.S. Mike may be able to attend as well.

I'm in Greg. Just name the time.  I can usually be pretty flexible on Saturdays

Greg,

I use Skype, am flexible on the timing of this (usually wide open on Saturday), and don't know enough yet to suggest particular topics.

Let's shoot for Saturday July 11th.  I know Roo Rider is in Australia.  I have to calculate the time difference and propose a few times.  Usually we do these in the late morning so that the west coast can at least sleep until 8:00AM.

I'll post a proposed time later this week.

I'll see what I can do about attending - 8am did you say?  I'm usually in bed by then.

That's what happens when you hang out in SF too late into the night...

Ok...How about 10:00 AM CST on Saturday??  8:00AM West Coast and 11:00 AM Eastern.  I have not heard from Roo Rider so I do not know if he is interested.

Roo If you are interested.... we could move to 5:00 PM CST to get into the AM in Australia.  Let me know before Wednesday.

Greg:

Unfortunately, as it turns out I have a conflict all day on Saturday.  My girls are in an all day soccer tournament.  If it work for others (but not for Mike!) I would be willing to get up really early on Saturday to do this.

If Craig can do that early session I would be willing to as well what time are you thinking??

I am also willing to meet with you in person since you live about 4 miles from me.  No Airfare....
Sorry everyone I cannot offer that to you all as well...

You mean Craig, right . . . unless you have moved to the Pacific Northwest and never told me!

5am Pacific is certainly doable, earlier if necessary.
