I'm almost embarrassed to post this. I did make the selections and the mask. I thought everything looked good. BUT ....like you say there is alway a but.. There is a halo along the tops of the trees. I tried everything to get rid of that...couldn't do it. blurred a bit but it's still there.
I'm done for the night.

That is one of the biggest problems with the smaller scale images...the treetop halos are certainly there and I have had many people try to tackle them. I'd let them go esp. since you ID the problem...
Over all the image looks very nice...clouds are a bit over blown but the color looks better
