I did 2 passes here - 1 for naturalizing the color cast in rgb and then increased contrast with Lab.

I think you have done a great job with the overall contrast...but the color is still off...
Try setting a new neutral on your current version and see if you can get rid of the blue in the frame....

To be honest - the cast here is quite annoying and was caused probably by different colored items near this object and then the light came back from them to the object.

I guess the easiest way will be to re shoot this picture......
:D

I'll try to get rid of the cast ..... :-[

Many have tried the re-shoot chant.... ;)
This was a once in a life time trip to SE Asia by Mike....I'm pretty sure he would gladly go back and re-shoot for you but.....

This is one image where you will not get a perfect result at this level...just make the best compromises you can...
