Greg
Here are my attempts at the statue. I found this quite difficult. I have not used neutral on it at all. Although this image is well known to me I have never considered its colour before. Is it really green? I had a lot of trouble getting enough contrast.

in RGB I sharpened and used levels in elements. In lab I used levels and added small amount of contract and brightness.

I'm having a great day, learning lots and taking my time. I think I will have to give up work, this is better.

She is looking pretty good...

Try a version where you push it harder in contrast and color.  Do this....Make your corrections and push it until you feel like it is unreal / harsh.  Then back off just a tiny bit.  Save the ACV and close the image.  Go onto something else for a few minutes...5 to 10...

When you come back...open the image and apply your ACV file.  make any changes you want to and then re-post...let's see what happens...

once you have made your adjustments....

click the save button in CM. Save the ACV file to the desktop.

To reload after....Open the image in PS, Open CM and select the load button.
navigate out to the desktop and click on the file and select open.
