Just the sky, as requested: a subtle, but telling change. Nice. I wasn't inclined to take it any darker, (but, then, I'm a wimp).
You can go further
See if you can make a curve like this...
The hump in the highlight is to darken the sky a bit...the drop at the top right is to open the shadows a bit..try to keep the contrast in the image...
