Tried using the paw and a shadow point in the tree bark on the left.  Used the lighter color rock in the back right for a neutral.  I liked the colors better in RGB as the looked a little more natural.  Using contrast pinning in a second curve with a large sample size (45) to bring out the stripes a bit.

He looks very nice...

Did you try a LAB pass for color to just bump it a bit??  I know you did this in RGB and the color looks nice...I tried saturating it just a bit more just to see what happens.  The yellow fur is improved a bit by setting the saturation slider to 1.15 you might have to hand type it into the field to get it to go there...

Give it a try..The image looks fine as is...I just try to push it a bit harder....
