Week 5 Example 1 Black Tassels

My Tassels in black. The left background tassels are very difficult to change totally to black. I still see quite a bit of red reflection.

The red reflections can be removed by not having too much contrast in the mask.  Instead of getting it to a hard edge...let the edges of the mask layer "bleed" over a bit. 


Shot1 is too "hard"
Shot2 is a bit softer...allowing the mask to "bleed" into the other areas
Shot 3 is the image with shot 2 applied...

I see that it is not a huge difference in the mask line between shot 1 and 2 but just enough to show that you removed all reflection on the stone wall. I'll give it a whirl.
