I first set a highlight and shadow and neutral on the tiger. I applied it and in a second run in Lab I used the contrast pin to pop the colours on the tiger. I ignored the foreground and background totally except for the use of the stones for neutral.

Overall the image looks great...1 very small problem though...it is not a total washout just something to remember....
Tigers do not have Blue fur....I always check to make sure that fur is on the red to yellow side of the hue clocks...It's a mental check that saves me most of the time...

In my screen shot you can see the negative "b" values on the hue clocks from the tigers front legs.  remove most or all of the negative b values and you have it made.It will also improve the greens a bit and make the grass look more real...See shot attached.
