There is a glich in my system when it comes to cmyk.  I sent this private email to mike.  Perhaps someone else has this problem.  I suspect it has something to do with cs5 and its interactions with CM.  I have a workaround.

If someone does not have this problem, then please ignore this.  It is convoluted and confusing.

More symptoms.  (and a work around for me)

win 7 pro - 64 bit , 64 bit cs5

from RGB- I go to CM.  there is a radio button for wg CMYK, but it has no effect

I then exit CM- change color mode to CMYK.  Go to CM-  the button is for CMYK (not wg CMYK), but it works.

I exit again CM-  change color mode back to RGB.  go into CM-  now I have the wg CMYK button and it works!

If I open a new image, I have to do the same thing.  go into cmyk.  Open CM look at cmyk.  exit.  Change modes back and it works in wg CMYK.

If I do not open CM in cmyk, it does not work.

Therefore, I need to do the cmyk round trip to get my hue clocks and neutral points to work.

Does this make sense?  I hope I gave you enough clues so you can fix this glitch when you get a chance.  No urgency.

Interesting work around...
Mike is following this thread.  I'll make sure people read it if they continue to have CMYK issues.

Hi Steve,
I believe I responded to you offline, but just in case:

the 3.2.3 version, mentioned in another class thread, supports both wgCMYK hue clock and the pin palette, so I would suggest that you install that version.

There are a couple of glitches, including that I initially posted a link to the wrong version!

Thanks.  The problems I have been having seem to be minor and easily worked around.

Thanks again.
