Steve Merry go round

Here is my attempt.  First, rgb curves as suggested.  I use the side threshold.  It seems that you can move the threshold at least to the first spot on the histogram.  Oh yes, I tried to keep detail in the shadows and maintain neutrals.

Then close CM and back with a LAB color boost.  I moved the A a little left.

An interface question.  Can you resize or reposition the main

Steve,
The color looks great!  The highlights are in a great spot.  The shadows...not so much....

The boards on the wall behind the child on the right should be visible.  See if you can make them come out a bit more.  All of the shadow areas will benefit from that.

I brightened the shadows but the midtones are lighter also.

Nicely done...Very colorful...Right to the edge...not too far but right to the edge...Some would say too colorful but i think you have it...
