I experimented with this image extensively.  I still do not like the sky.  What do you think of this image?

Hello.

I just noticed you posted a video on Expanding Color Variations in Lab.  I decided to watch this video and then try adjusting the foliage again.  I like this version better than the previous one.  I decided to set a shadow and a neutral.  I decided not to set a highlight because I was concerned that it would effect the rocks.  What do you think of the try?

Hi David,

It is better but there is more in there...
Bring the shadow end of the L channel curve in to deepen the shadows overall; and then go looking for more color.  The color expansion techniques in the video will bring a lot more variation to the image overall and add a sense of depth...just do not go to far...
