I set the highlight and shadow, but for the RGB it might have been a specular highlight that I should have ignored. Overall, the RGB is slightly more saturated, but does it have too blue of a color cast? The LAB is less saturated but but I think that the colors are better.

I am not sure that I have understood this example or all the suggestions but here is another attempt with LAB.

Not too bad Richard,

Overall this image is about the text and the bright colors...I think you can get brighter colors...But you can leave this for now...
