Skin Tones not Just for People

1. Started in RGB with People Skin 1 pin, there is a green cast
2. I tried setting a neutral but that was a disaster, I wonder if it is because there is a lot of noise in the image. I tried setting the sample      to 5x5 to see if that helped, in a word no.
3. Restart, I set a highlight and a shadow, I didn’t set a neutral because of the coloured noise.
4. I used Skin 5 pin, the ape’s forearm is still fractionally green.
5. I adjusted the green channel by dragging the light end point up.

Actually you did fairly well overall.
The confusion over this image is regrettable...The real lesson is that you need to get your images closer to the the correct color in order for skin pins to put the cherry on the top. 

This process is very sensitive to sample size and you are correct in trying to change it as a solution.
