Taroko Gorge

I had several attempts at this image as I usually do and I am posting my best two.

1. I used the Honest Abe technique and set a neural when I thought the image looked “right”.

2. I set toe neutrals in slightly different places and used the saturation slider to boost the image.

Shot 1) Good choice so far on the neutral...now...Set the shadow point a bit more aggressive so you get more contrast the lighting allows for it...and bump the saturation up until you think it looks ugly then back off until its real...there is a ton of color in this image..

Shot 2) This one needs a new neutral.  See my screen shot attached...The fastest test of the neutral in LAB is to push the saturation throuogh the roof and see what happens.  If everything looks good but super saturated then you have it...in the case of your second shot the image turns too blue...
