Hi

When I just used the slider I had a lot of trouble controlling the green on the rocks. I pushed it as far as I could but I probably lost a little detail and it looks a bit toxic.

When I used the ends it was hoeless unless I put in a neutral. I used the grey on the birds wings. I could push the colour more, but still needed to be very careful of the green on the rocks.

Shadow highlight seemed ok. I tried adding a little contrast in to the L curve, but I liked the soft misty look and decided against it.

Julie,
So far so good..but the yellows and blues are a bit flat..try this...
Since you have a neutral pinned try rotating only the B channel a bit.  if it gets too out of control try pinning the blue side down and adjusting the yellows...

Hi
tried your suggestion.
Much better.
More colour and its not too too much.
Does lose some of the misty look though.
Any way to get both or is that just greedy?

Lol...Always try to be greedy....

The Misty look really might be in the L channel...See if you can find the tonal area where you get better tonality and still have the color....Think about the SunMoon Lake image...it's misty and you can have both....
