week 2 merry go round julie

Hi
I followed the instructions and adjusted in rgb.
Its much better, but I would probaby like a little more color by using lab.
But.. I did notice that the womans face was about as saturated as it should be.
Might need to be careful.

Actually it looks pretty good from here...you could brighten it up a bit and make the colors pop more...see how far you can push without blowing the colors in the faces...

Ok I may have over done this but its fun trying
Decided to use contrast pins to boost the colour a bit.
I protected the skin as well as I could.
then finished off with final boost by using slider.
Too much colour?

The question of too much color is best answered by asking if you have lost details in the most colorful areas.  If your image still has details in the reds and blues in the areas shown below... the amount of saturation really becomes a matter of taste.

The trends lately have been towards over saturated images and vibrant colors...I think people remember the colors as brighter than they are...I would make the color saturation adjustments on a separate layer and adjust to taste...
