Hi Greg

tried the assignments using the wizard only
First lab one there is a green cast and I tried again and think i have corrected it a little with a better neutral placement.

Not sure about the rgb.
First attempt looked a little reddish but the greens were not really yellow enough?
I like the second try better but I think I may have over brightened - maybe it would look better with a little boost in lab

Overall I am not sure which I prefer. The rgb seems to give more depth and warmth but the lab colours pop.
Let me know what you see
Julie

Julie,
2 things happening here...

1) these appear pretty bright overall.  The wizard makes it harder to control but try it out of the wizard.  Set your thresholds and get the tonality under control first.  The color will solve itself with a good neutral choice.

2) the neutral...I used Duck2 RGB for the attached image.  I thresholded the image I also added saturation... you were very close on the color...It's in there ...go get it...

Hi
I would have taken it into lab and pushed the colour a bit if i was working on this image for myself but i tried to stay in the exercise.
I dont think I would have thresholded so I will remember this as an option.
I am noticing my screen in photoshop/bridge is less red than when posted on curvemeister.
I have noticed this before when I asked for help with an image
Will this be a problem for the class?

thanks
Julie

It should not be... do you use ProRGB as a color space or have you made any changes to the color space you use??

If your output is sRGB or you use save for web you should be fine.

Greg
