Hi eyerybody,

this is a topic for all technical stuff, in which we hopefully helps each other and make it easier for Greg to find these questions.

My first problem is, that sometimes the curve don't wanna move, when I set a contrast pin and want to rotate the curve.
Did you guys have this too? Or is there a trick?

Greetings, Tanja

Tanja,
Sometimes the "focus" of the mouse is not on the curve window even when you have just clicked it...I'm not sure but sometimes you need a second click to get the focus on the curves window and enable the contrast pin movement.

Hope that helps
Greg

Anybody:

Tanja, thanks for setting up the technical area. How can I look at the photo in CM without having the curve grid over it block my view.  I can control the size of the picture, make it large or small with the wheel on my mouse and I can make the curve grid large or small by double clicking it.  But I like a big picture and a large curve grid simultaneously.  Also, I may start out with a large master rgb grid, but if I use multiple layers, invariably I end up with the master, the red, green and blue all in one box and they all are too small.  I want to control the size of the cm grid i use.

Dan when you open CM is it full screen?  you can stretch the window frame to make CM fill the screen and then start working on the interior panes.  Post a screen shot and show me where you want things to go and I should be able to help you out.

Hi Greg:

Yes, it is full screen. As you can see the cm grid partially covers the picture.  I don't see where to grab it to do anything to change its position.

Hi Dan,

you can dock the curve window, by moving is to the right side or wherever you want it.
Look at the first video of 2nd weeks material.

In germany we called that "Vorführeffekt".
I try no 10 times having a "not moving" curve to try that extra click, but now the curve moves all times. Typical  ;D
But I have that in mind for the next time.

Thanks Greg!

Ok...easy fix...

Shot1: click on the window frame header and then drag the frame to the right edge of the CM interface.  You should see a blue box like shot 2.  Release the mouse and the frame should dock to the CM interface window.

Greg:

I've moved the picture all the way to the right as far as it will go.  It will go no further.

Dose the Curves frame dock to the side of the interface??
The image will center in the image window no matter what.

If you dock the panel to the right side the Image window will change shape and the image will center in it unless we have something going on I am not aware of...

The Curves panel should not float free unless you want it to.
