Take your Dock 5 jpg and apply the attached curve for A channel in LAB and a saturation boost overall. you are quite close.
Take it apart if you need to and do it step by step. Saturation first then color in LAB...

Hi Greg,
I've forgotten how to copy and open an acv file in CM, and I'm still having a problem even opening the library files in LAB, so I adjusted the image according to your numbers, and it looks much better, even bringing out the golden hues in the rocks.
That was very helpful. Now I'm going to think about exactly what you did and why!
