BTW. I am searching for a new monitor....  The correction here is not good.  My gamma is poor and the de2000 is very high.  I have spent several hours and cannot get it close to tolerance.  I  need to get back to real correction.

I think I will go mainstream with a NEC pa 241 or 271.

Hello all,

Looking forward to participating. The course was both fun and tremendously informative last time, and I expect it will be this time as well.

By the way Steve, have you considered an Eizo FlexScan monitor? Not as exorbitantly expensive as their ColorEdge series, but first class quality nevertheless.  You can calibrate it in one of two ways: software calibration with an Eye-one spectrophotometer and GretagMacbeth (now X-Rite) software, or hardware calibration with Eizo's Easypix software and colorimeter.

I have the 24" FlexScan SX2462W and am very happy with it. There's also a 27" model. I've found Eizo UK an exceptionally client-friendly company to deal with.

(Not sure how it compares to the NEC models you mention.)

Cheers,
Art

Sorry OT,  the coloredge are expensive.  The Flexscan are much more reasonable.  Very similar in prices to the NEC, although the models I mentioned can be found for 25% less.  I do want a better monitor, one that is designed to be calibrated and used in color critical places.
