My attempt -- Art

Art try a bit more mid-tone contrast...it adds some apparent sharpness without creating any real sharpness...

Yes. I noticed as soon as I saw Art's.
Well done.
Will try and brighten it up tomorrow.

Hi Greg, that certainly improved the image.
Thanks Julie, looking forward to seeing your next version (by the way, if you post your image at around 1100 pixels wide, the viewer could see it in its entirety in expanded view (without scrolling), and I think it also permits a higher quality jpeg conversion. Just a suggestion.)

Cheers,
Art

Just noticed that a little more contrast enhancement might be called for, which is closer to what Greg was suggesting.
(My last attempt -- promise!)

Spectacular Art...

There is so much variation and color in the image..You should be very satisfied.  I took some leaves from the plant and compared then to your image.  Just outstanding really..
The subtle reds and the veins of both the large multicolored leaf and the small red green ones are really well represented.

Once you solved the mid-tone contrast  problem the image really took off.  It has a warmth and fullness that I really like...

Congratulations...

Many thanks Greg-

I think I'm going to have this engraved!  (you think I'm kidding?...)

Cheers,
Art
