A generic winter scene.I liked the shed but I was rushed for time.Hint,roof of shed is a green shingling common to older commercial buildings here.

Yes quite an interesting image, especially with the blue snow areas!  Does anybody feel we should get rid of them?

I fed it through NeatImage, FocusMagic before CM - then to give it a little sparkle I added 4 pixels of Local Auto-Levels at about 50%.

Compared to Greg's the noise has virtually disappeared from the sky thanks to NeatImage

Seen expanded on this site the sky falls apart.PSE noise reduction and some color treatments shifted the texture of the shed walls which I didn't like.

Just practising my new skills.
I'm not sure how blue the sky really would be, but I liked the vividness.
Used Lab to work on it by first setting highlights, shadow and neutral; then contrast pin and manipulated the b channel.

Please don't hesitate to correct me. I'm still waaay at the bottom of the ladder of experience.

Give the shadows a bit of Lizard Tail and see whats in there...

I made some modifications and would like to share, it's been a while since I've been here and I can't remember how to upload my image. Can anyone give me pointers on that?

Anyway I adjusted Levels for each color and the saturation a bit and then I blurred the blue channel in order to get rid of the graininess in the sky, I figured it was a compression artifact but it looks better that way. Hopefully I can figure out how to share it soon. Thanks.

• Please remember to re-size your images to fit under the 200kb limit per image. 
  You can have up to 500kb per post but no more than 200kb per attached image. 
  If your images are small you can attach up to 8 of them.
  



• If you are new to image re-sizing you can use the PS or PSE "save for web" command under the "file" menu to help you re-size the image.  You might want to keep the overall image size to 1024X1024 as upper limits for both horizontal and vertical sizes.  Just set the quality value to give you an Image that is less than 200kb.



• To attach the image to your posting click on the "+ Additional Options" link and select the file using the browse button. See greg1.jpg.



• You might want to look into a freeware printscreen program.  I use Gadwin Printscreen

http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/ version 4.4 is free. This will help you capture screens that include the curves windows and to help us work with you on your images.

You can save a curve file as an .ACV file.  These files are able to be attached to an e-mail or posting to the forum and allow us to help figure out problems.  These are optional files and not required.  We may ask for one if we are having trouble getting to thebottom of a problem in an image.  To save a curve file you need to click on the save button.  This will open the Save as Dialog box. See greg2.jpg.  Name your file and save it to the desktop if you like.  You can then attach it just like a image file as described above.
